Background:

Bayshore CAPA began in 2004 as Bayshore Arts, a 501 C-3 grass roots organization founded by a few local visual artists and community members.  It expanded to include the performing arts in 2006, and in 2012 formally updated its mission ?to provide a state-of-the-art cultural and performing arts center that showcases local visual and performing artists, thereby offering affordable and accessible educational, cultural and performance opportunities for the community."

?.  In 2008, Bayshore Arts re-named itself Bayshore Cultural and Performing Arts Center, Inc. and promoted the resolution passed by the Collier Redevelopment Agency and the County Commission to create the Bayshore Cultural District.
