BAYSHORE CULTURAL AND PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

Collier County is the home of many not-for-profit organizations that have cultural and performing arts missions.  Each organization has fund-raising efforts that for the most part keep them in operation  These organizations are in constant search for adequate rehearsal and performance venues.  There is also a large segment of the Collier County community in need of affordable cultural enrichment.

It is just a dream at this point.  But in time, it will become home to a vast number of varied performing artists including opera, concert band, visual arts, theater, and many other cultural and performing groups.

Currently in the formative stages, the Bayshore Cultural and Performing Arts (CAPA) Center is led by a Board of Directors made up of members of many of the Naples area's cultural and performing arts groups.  The mission of the group is "To create a state-of-the-art Cultural and Performing Arts Center that showcases local visual and performing artists, and provides cultural, performance and educational opportunities for the community and the Bayshore / Gateway Triangle CRA Cultural district.

The project's objective is to create a cultural center along Bayshore Drive.  Current vision calls for the facility to provide performance venues, rehearsal rooms, storage and administrative space for the many users.

The Bayshore CAPA Board and an associated Advisory Board presently consists of representatives from Naples Concert Band,  Naples Orchestra and Chorus, Naples Music Club, Classic Chamber Series, Paradise Coastmen Barbershop Chorus,  Bob Zotolla's Expandable Jazz Band,  Flute Cocktail, and includes community leaders with legal, financial, and business expertise.

CAPA is an endorser of Project Innovation.

CAPA is a member of the United Arts Council of Collier County
